The story behind www.ideasresult.com is a simple one really.

Throughout my career I've fancied myself as somewhat of an ideas man. It never made sense to me that management would "just settle for the status quo", when it was clear that if we implemented a new idea there could be significant gain.

Of course in large organizations, like the many that I've worked for, things are never black and white and there are the dynamics of the organization that one has to contend with.

As a result many of the ideas I suggested were never adopted, or died a slow and nasty death in spite of all my efforts. As a youngster I felt hurt and dug my heels even more, to show that the idea work work. I have some stories to tell about how that worked out for me. 😼

As things turned out in the longer run, it was that many of my ideas were spot on.

Interestingly many of them became the new way, (some even became my bosses ideas) a few years later and today many of them are the norm. I always tell the story of that time I first met this and this person from the bank who said, "Internet services will never be enabled in this bank under my watch"...surprise! 😸
