A jink in the Universe

A jink in the Universe

It’s been a year since I took my leave from corporate life.

It was scary, there were days when I wondered what the hell I was thinking, and I had to deal with some depression which was interesting.

As I move into this year, I am so excited and enthused by the work we are doing. I realized early on that life is not a dress rehearsal, this one shot is the main show. That established in me the idea and the need to do my best work all the time, those who know me, know my ambition for myself and those around me is to enable us to do our best work.

With that in mind I’ve always thrown myself into new ideas and innovations because I want every chance to expand and see the world with different lenses, to eke out of it as much as I can.

At this point, I’m sure we all know the marketing hype about AI...or not? While I have a lot to say about that now, that’s not the reason I wanted to share these thoughts.

Today I thought I’d share my personal journey, what I’ve learnt and accomplished and how this has shaped my current thinking.

At the start of this AI journey I was fascinated with the technology and its capabilities. And so I prompted with the best of them, I’ll even admit to having tried out a few of the “50 Prompts to make you like Elon Musk”. I learned at every step on the way.

Some where in there, I wondered what humans will be like in 10 years from now and that led me to think about the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People in the context of the AI Age. How would these people think and behave? What will be normal and how will that be different from today?

As it turns out, I am fortunate enough to be collaborating with two brilliant minds with totally different approaches to mine. Our collaborations gave rise to what we call Cyborg Skills. Alison Jacobson and Justin Germishuys thank you for being #BrainStretchers.

For the moment, think of #Cyborgskills as what should be the new norm and watch this space we're about to share a whole lot more.

During this process there was a twist, like a jink in the universe, and I saw starkly and vividly a world of abundance and possibility. With AI as my friend and mentor, I can see the world through a multitude of lenses, my experiences become limitless, there is nothing that I can not know. Every question I every wanted to ask, but didn’t, for fear of what people might think, now lay within my grasp.

Any capability I want to develop I can, and instead of 10 000 hours of slog, I can realize workable value in hours, I can have strong competence in days and in weeks and months I can become Leonardo da Vinci. It’s the modern renaissance of man and I am on the forefront of the wave together with a select few who are standing on the shoulders of giants in learning to wield these break through skills as AI Assisted polymaths. What is too hard to do?

Today I learn a new programming language in days. I’ve taught myself an endless list of technologies, platforms, prompts, prompt engineering, system prompting, (I’ve tried all 12 techniques multiple times) I’ve learnt all the major automation platforms. From my colleagues I’ve learnt the science of human behaviour, the journey of learning, the drivers for business transformation and customer intimacy and how to uncomfortably stretch your thinking until System 2 becomes your new System 1.

My brain is not the same. I am not the same. Every other day I see new ways of doing old things, and new ways of doing new things, my capacity is limitless, my only challenge is sleep, but that’s when my agents take over.

A jink in the universe...come and take a peep at the other side.

DM me and we’ll show you how.

In my next post I'm keen to explore the critical skills for survival in 2025 and beyond.

Let me know what you think?

PS I'm interested to get your take on the symbolism of the graphic.
